Hi My Name Is Matthew (Matty)
The
Isle of Wight is a small island of the south coast of England
The Isle of Wight is almost the smallest county in
the country. It measures 23 miles from east to west, and 13.5 miles
from north to south, giving a total area (including inland water) of 94,146
acres, or 147 square miles. The Island is divided into two boroughs - Medina &
South Wight, with Newport as the all-Island capital, although Ryde is the
largest town.
My station set up is Yaesu FT-847 Earth Station
which covers 160 to 6
meter 100watts SSB, AM, FM, 144Mhz to 430Mhz 50 Watts FM a
Yaesu MD 100 Desk Microphone, Vectronics
VC300DLP Manual Antenna tuner, Van Gordon Half Size
G5RV 52ft which covers 40MHz Thru 10MHz is North to
South direction this is about 8 Meters about 24ft from the ground this is my
main HF Antenna, For FM I Use A
Watson W2000 Base Tribander 2m/6m
/70cms. The next radio is an ICOM 706MK1,
Rigblaster Plus for SSTV and
Digital Modes Hustler 5-Btv ground mounted which
covers 10, 15, 20, 40, 80 with
radials, Antenna tuner AT-11MP Autotuner. will be putting up some pictures of this antenna soon. For FM I Use A
Diamond X50 Colinear 2m/70cms base antenna, Power
Supply is a Watson W-25AM, most of my logging is
done via the computer with both radio's using HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe), but still
keep the paper log. (you just never know when the computer is going to crash!!
